Externship for Clinical Psychology Students - Adult Track (Fall 2024)

We have 3 spots for Ph.D/Psy.D. students in Clinical Psychology who are seeking a practicum experience in CBT. Specifically, we are looking for trainees who are interested in expanding their CBT training by treating anxiety disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress and sleep difficulties, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, and depression.

We offer training in the following modalities:

• Exposure therapy for anxiety disorders

• Emotion regulation therapy (ERT) for generalized anxiety disorder

• Exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD

• Habit reversal training (HRT) for body focused repetitive behaviors (e.g., skin picking)

• Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I)

• Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

• Mindfulness-based approaches

• Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT)

• Trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) for PTSD

• Modularized CBT (MCBT)

Our training philosophy centers on empowering our students to deliver CBT interventions effectively as well as honing in on their clinical process.

We provide trainees with weekly individual supervision, group supervision, case conference, and didactics seminars.

We offer the option to work from home as well as to join us in-person in our New York City office (Flatiron/Chelsea).

Ideal candidates would have 2+ years of experience doing therapy (but not necessarily CBT)

We are participating in the NY-NJ match for the 2024-25 academic year. Please go here for more info:
