Meet Our Founder Dr. Amelia Aldao, Ph.D. - Founder
Dr. Aldao is a Clinical Psychologist and Founder of Together CBT. She specializes in anxiety, OCD, stress, sleep, depression, relationships, and mindfulness. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University, a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, and an Educational Consultant in the Psychiatry Department of Mount Sinai Hospital. She is also a member of the Continuing Education Committee of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
She was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University, where she taught courses in clinical psychology and conducted research on anxiety disorders and OCD. Dr. Aldao currently writes for Psychology Today and is frequently featured in national media outlets, such as NPR, Huffington Post, and the Washington Post. Dr. Aldao has a track record of over 60 scientific publications on anxiety in many of the most prestigious journals in the field of Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yale University and completed an APA accredited Clinical Internship (residency) at Weill Cornell Medical College / New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology.
